LithoClear^® (high viscosity)

LithoClear is an acoustic transmission gel for dry contact ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy) with minimized air bubbles and optimized acoustic properties. ESWL requires eliminating all air bubbles of any size in the acoustic interface. LithoClear is Sonotech's response to this requirement. Eliminates micro and macro air bubbles for clear acoustic path without scattering or reflection Sound velocity to within 99.5% of skin minimizes refraction to preserve focal zone Optimized acoustic impedance and velocity to preserve acoustic focal characteristics Gentle, non-irritating formula free of surfactants, propylene glycol, dyes and fragrances. LithoClear does not contain propylene glycol to protect against contact dermatitis and skin sensitization for your patients Nor does it contain fragrance to protect against cosmetic skin reactions Water soluble, non-staining, easy clean-up Available in 2 viscosities We highly recommend direct dispensing from the cubitainer for more consistent and complete delivery of air bubble free gel. When bottles are filled then squeezed, air bubbles are incorporated into the gel which causes scattering of acoustic energy which impedes the effectiveness of the gel.
